05/22/09  Picked up some new corals from Bill today... nice stuff! A large purple bonsai, a nice Tyree Tricolor, a green tort, and a green digi. Good stuff! I also finally got the magnetic stirbar in yesterday. I'm not sure if I'm going to use it or not, though. The Mag2 with a new impeller is actually doing an amazing job and is super quiet when mixing, so I may just leave it for now and save the magnetic stirrer and stir bar for a rainy day. :) I've also secured a Sicce PSK-2500 to put on my skimmer. That should really kick start it! After I get that fitted into it (I'm just going to drop it down into the skimmer body), I'm going to start my vodka dosing... finally!

05/18/09  Still waiting on the freaking stir bar for the magnetic stirrer. :-/ I did, however, switch from using the gatevalve on my skimmer to the valve that's built into it because it kept overflowing out of the top on me due to the amount of backpressure I had to put on it. That got old, FAST. I may not be able to adjust it quite as finely now, but at least I know it won't be overflowing. That was driving me NUTS (not to mention getting me in trouble with my wife... heh).

04/24/09  I bought a magnetic stirrer today for my kalk reactor. This got me off my rear-end to FINALLY find the new impeller I had bought for the mag 2 that is on it, only to find out that the mag 2 actually works great with the new impeller! Go figure! To be honest, I may just keep the Mag 2 on it. However, the magnetic stirrer would be far less maintenance. Hmmm... decisions, decisions. I also bought some RJ12 ends to make my own RKE Bus Cables. :)

04/20/09  I got the float switch setup. I just used 1/2" PVC to do it as I don't have any probe holders at the moment. I kind of wish I had kept the ones that came with my Aquatronica as they were pretty cool... :-D I may buy some anyway... Next I'm going to setup the float switch that emails me when my top off reservoir goes low. And then I'm buying a new SW5 and I'm going to program some fun toggle switches. :-D

04/18/09  Finally got everything squared away! The RKE is now completely installed, sans level switch. :) I ended up buying some 1x8 and mounted my 3 PC4s, the NET module and the SL1 to it, with plenty of room left over for expansion. ;) Check out the Gallery for a pic.

04/17/09  RKE came in today. Still working on getting everything setup and programmed.

04/15/09  SWEET! RKE ships from AquaCave today! I would imagine I will probably receive it on Monday or Tuesday, but if I'm lucky I'll get it on Friday. :)

04/14/09  I was correct! My Aquatronica has been sold, shipped, and deleted from my ReefNook. I have ordered a ReefKeeper Elite with NET module and an extra PC4 with the money from selling my Aquatronica. I can't wait for them to get here!

04/09/09  I sold my Aquatronica today I'm fairly sure. :) This means an RKE, Net Module, and extra PC4 (for skimmer and other control) will be ordered soon! And an SW5 whenever it comes out, too. :)

04/08/09  Lost a cleaner shrimp today. :( It will be missed. I love those little guys. I will have to get another one next time I'm at Emerald bay.
